| Below - A screenshot of the main RBS interface console, where you select what data you want backing up, and access all the RBS features. | Below - A screenshot of the backup scheduler where you choose how frequently you want the backups to run and what kind of backups you want to run. |
| Below - A screenshot of the backup progress screen, showing how many files were selected, compressed, encrypted and how many sent. | Below - A screenshot of the restore tab, here you can choose whether to restore everything or just certain files and folders. |
Microsoft Exchange - Backs up and restores Exchange Server granularly at the folder level, while Exchange is running. There's no need to shut down the Exchange server for either backups or restores.
This is a standard feature at no additional charge.
SQL Server - Userve RBS backs up and restores SQL Server databases while they are in use, so there's no need to shut down the SQL Server.
This again is a standard feature at no additional charge.
BitBackup – BitBackup substantially reduces the amount of time it takes to back up files, and saves storage space on the RBS Sever. It backs up only the parts of files that have changed since the previous backup. BitBackup also operates in Differential Mode.
Encryption - Userve RBS supports these encryption standards and bit lengths.
The multi-encryption feature makes RBS the most secure backup software available.
Open Files Agent RBackup now has the most advanced Open Files support available in any solution. The Open Files Agent, now included at no charge in the Client software, allows RBackup to back up all open and locked files - even operating system files, Outlook PST files, Quickbooks, Lotus Notes, and all other file types, even if they are locked. It works with all 32 bit Windows operating systems, Windows 2000 and greater. The OFA does not require any other software or service. The OFA does not require Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
Automatic Client Updates RBackup's new built-in Client Update feature updates your Client software. It is programmable to different levels of prompts, and can even run completely silently. It has many options and features. See the Server's Help File, the chapter on RBS Update - the Check for Updates Utility.
Secure Key Generator - Userve RBS utilises its own RBS Key Generator. The Key Generator creates "statistically perfect" encryption keys that are much more secure than human users can create.
Faster 'Streaming' Transfers - Up to four times faster than previous versions, especially where many small files are being backed up.
Administrator's Features - Entering the Administrator's password at the Client opens access to enhanced features on the Client software.
Disaster Recovery System - Clients should make sure their Encryption Keys and Passwords are safe. But, just in case they don't, RBS's Disaster Recovery System makes it easier to restore them from Key Disks that can be generated by the Client.
Copy to Disk - Onsite backups can be done locally to a USB hard disk drive at the Client side, these drives can then be returned to us here at the Server location and copied onto the Server. It's faster than Remote Backups which may not be practical for large full backups.
Scheduled Start Date - Allows scheduling a Backup Set to launch at a future date.
Remote Management System - New server-side Management System to manage clients remotely. Allows us to remotely manage Client Locks, Backup Schedules and other Reporting functions.
Delete Files From Server Option - This Option enables the user to manually delete files from the server that they think are unnecessary.
