Configuring Microsoft Outlookemail

Microsoft Outlook is a PIM (Personal Information Management) application that provides email, calendar functions and task management, as well as many other features. It is generally used as part of the Microsoft Exchange system but can be used stand alone if desired.

  1. Select 'Email Accounts' from the 'Tools' menu
  2. Click 'Add a new e-mail account'
    Click 'Next'
  3. Select 'POP3' and click 'Next'
  4. Enter your name and email address. Your email address will have been provided by Unitron
  5. Enter your username & password in the boxes provided under 'Logon Information'
  6. Enter 'pop3.userve.net' in the incoming mail server box
    Enter 'smtp.userve.net' in the outgoing server box
  7. Click the 'More Settings...' button.
  8. Click the 'Outgoing Server' tab and make sure the box labeled 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' is checked.
  9. Click 'OK' to close the more settings window then click 'Next'
  10. Click 'Finish'. The wizard will now close

You should now be able to send & recieve emails.
